Reduce Your Drink Drive Ban By Up To 25

Always ask a lawyer if you are unsure about any of the advice and information provided here.

Your solicitor will require to ask the court at time of sentence to consider making a drink drive rehabilitation reduction. Many Sheriffs do not accede to this request without a full and detailed explanation as to why. Some think that it should only be allowed where the drink drive limit has only just been exceeded others consider that it is only appropriate where there is a drink problem. Each Sheriff has to be approached with the benefit of experience and understanding when making a suggestion that you should be placed on the scheme. It cannbsp; reduce your disqualification period by 25 but the Sheriff can exercise his discretion and allow a shorter period of reduction. Again a situation where an experienced road traffic lawyer can make a big difference to the outcome.

The course fee is pound;130 pound;95 if on benefits. Upon conviction your solicitor must intimate to the court that you agree to attend a Drink Drive Rehabilitation course and the court will consider a reduction of your period of disqualification. The solicitor has to know when it is appropriate to recommend such a reduction.

The Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme has been thoroughly tested and is regarded by many Sheriffs and Magistrates throughout Scotland as a proven method to reduce the reoffend rate.nbsp; It is an ideal disposal for the offence of Drink Driving to be used in conjunction with a disqualification period plus a fine community service probation order or custodial sentence as the severity of the offence dictates.

Once the verdict and penalty have been announced the Court must decide whether the offender is suitable for the Scheme.nbsp; Most Courts conscious of current ‘Human Rights’ legislation refer all drink drive offenders for training.

Making a Referral Order involves the following:

  • assessing suitability
  • offering the course to the offender
  • the offender accepts or declines
  • the Hearing ends
  • if the offender accepts the completed Referral Order is forwarded to the training provider

The guidelines to the Scheme list several factors which affect suitability:

  • a place is available on an approved course. We can recommend VMCLVMCL are approved training providers and guarantee to train all offenders referred to them under the Scheme making it unnecessary for the Court to check availability
  • the offender is at least 17 years old
  • the offer has been explained to the offender in ordinary language

Once an offer has been made to the offender the Court should state:

  • the amount of reduction in the disqualification period the offender will receive for completing the course
  • the date on which the reduced ban ends
  • the date by which the course must be completed

The offender must agree to the offer of attending the course before an Order is made.nbsp; Inclusion in the Scheme is voluntary; there is no penalty for choosing not to be included.

After the Hearing the Court’s administration section creates the Referral Order.nbsp; The Order is signed by an Officer of the Court and a copy forwarded to the training provider.

You attend as required and upon successful completion of the course you will be entitled to a reduction in your period of disqualification.

Put Water In My Car – Are You In Outer Space?

Just the idea of running your car on water is such a foreign concept that you’d think it would have to be some type of alien technology.

I remember hearing a group of girls back in High School talking about pouring salt water or sugar water down one of their exboy friend’s gas tank after they’d been “dumped” but I never knew if any one of them actually did it.

I do remember sitting in class and remember those three girls conversation behind me because years later I came across an article in a popular science type of magazine that talked about Brown Gas and how to get Hydrogen Gas out of water.

More specifically it talked about if we could ever figure out how to get the Hydrogen Gas out of water we would have a fuel supply that would change the world forever.

When I read that article I remembered those girls talking about pouring water down that guy’s gas tank and how funny it would have been if it were a car that ran on water just as the article described.

The truth is it wouldn’t have been very funny at all because water still will destroy your engine and pouring water down your cars fuel tank wasn’t at all what the researchers were trying to explain no matter that it came across to me like that way.

What they talked about all those years ago was separating the Hydrogen Gas from the H2O molecular structure and burning it as a fuel and not burning the water itself.

About two years ago I watched a homemade video this guy had created about how he was using Hydrogen. He used it to run his lawnmower I believe. It was actually pretty exciting because all he used was an ole beer can and some wires and his lawnmower actually ran on water err Hydrogen Gas.

It was the very first time I saw the potential of this technology working before my eyes. The lawnmower only ran for a few seconds and I remember thinking that I hope before I die that someone figures this stuff out. It sure would be great not to have to pay these high Gasoline prices.

I said it but not a full 2 years go by and I start hearing about people running full sized cars and trucks on Hydrogen Fuel and I didn’t believe it for a second. Over the years I heard about the government shut down many fuel saving hoaxes that I didn’t even want to waste my time and certainly not my money on another one.

Then this year my local gas stations prices jumped up to over 3 a gallon and I continued to see these ads about people claiming to be running their cars on water these ads were everywhere! Yet I kept waiting for some government agency to come in and shut them down just like the rest… But that never happened.

Finally I received and email about this water for fuel technology in my own in box and I decided to check it out. Low and behold I instantly recognized it as the same technology I’d read up on years earlier.

I knew Hydrogen was a viable fuel source. I knew it was a better fuel source than fossil fuels such as Gasoline or Diesel. I knew the problem has always been how to get the Hydrogen out of the water in a cost effective way and in a safe way.

The website I read all but explained every detail of the process and gave specific answers to how those problems had been overcome and it was very affordable too. To tell you the truth I was almost “gitty” with excitement! You see my wish had come true!

I lived long enough to see water being used as a fuel source to run our cars and I really didn’t have to wait that long to see it come to pass either.

You still can’t just go pour water down your gas tank unless you’re mad at them Just Kidding but now I’m confident I’ll live to see that problem solved to!

If you haven’t get on the web and checkout the simple but powerful advancements in using Hydrogen for fuel that have been reached and consider getting involved with the movement. It will save you money and will help save our planet.

Poet Continues To Open Ethanol Production Plants

Apparently POET is too busy building and opening ethanol plants to read the headlines and know that the financial world as we know it is coming to an end.

The worlds biggest ethanol producer just keeps getting bigger opening a new plant today in Fostoria Ohio and announcing another plant opening in the same state at the end of October.

In fact POET may be looking to get even bigger through acquisitions according to this story from the Ottawa Citizen which quotes CEO Jeff Broin saying that the financial crunch has made it the best time in at least five years to do so.

Obviously he has not heard that the financial crisis may delay biofuels development as Reuters reported this week from an interview with the CEO of BlueFire Ethanol. The fear is that the crisis will stifle cellulosic ethanol development because it has raised project finance costs and made ambitious targets to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy sources look less achievable. Just last month POET announced they would complete construction on a 4 million pilotscale cellulosic ethanol production facility by the end of this year and Jeff Broin said he is more confident about the future of cellulosic ethanol than ever before.

Some ethanol producers have been affected by bad financial decisions lately no question. But with corn prices heading back down futures dropped below 5 today those who are the most fiscally responsible will continue to turn a profit and keep moving forward. Im no economist but it seems that one of the best solutions to our financial problems is to invest even more into domestic renewable sources of energy that produce jobs and keep more American dollars here at home rather than sending them overseas.
